The Korean Glass Facial is a next-generation skin treatment that combines non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid with micro-injections of anti-wrinkle treatment, delivered intradermally across the face (and optionally the neck). This technique is designed to deeply hydrate the skin, refine texture, and deliver a luminous, smooth finish — often referred to as “glass skin.”

While this treatment involves minimal downtime, following the correct aftercare is essential to ensure optimal results and support the skin’s healing process

As with any medical procedure, anti-wrinkle treatments carry risks. These may include, but are not limited to:

→ Mild redness or a flushed appearance across the face

→ Slight swelling or a soft, raised texture in the treated areas

→ Localised tenderness or sensitivity to touch

→ Occasional bruising, particularly under the eyes or near the jawline

These effects are temporary and generally subside within 24–72 hours. If pain relief is needed, paracetamol is generally considered safe — always follow directions and consult your clinician if unsure. Recovery experiences and outcomes can vary between individuals, and follow-up care may be required.

Korean Glass Facial Aftercare Guidelines

In the first 24 hours:

  • Avoid wearing makeup for at least 12 hours (24 hours is preferable).

  • Do not touch, press, or massage your face unnecessarily.

  • Avoid hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, vigorous workouts, and alcohol consumption.

  • Sleep with your head slightly elevated to help reduce swelling.

For the next 2–3 days:

  • Gently cleanse your face with a non-active, non-abrasive cleanser.

  • Avoid active skincare ingredients such as retinoids, AHAs/BHAs, or vitamin C serums.

  • Apply a soothing, hydrating moisturiser — ideally one containing hyaluronic acid.

  • Use a broad-spectrum SPF 50+ daily and avoid direct sun exposure.

Avoid facials, chemical peels, skin needling, or laser treatments during this period.

When Will I See Results?

Some clients notice an instant dewy, hydrated appearance post-treatment. However, the full effect typically develops over 5–7 days, as the skin absorbs the hydrating ingredients and settles.

Some results you may expect:

  • Smoother, plumper skin

  • a possible reduction in the appearance of fine lines and visible pores

  • Brighter, more refined overall complexion

A series of 2–3 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart may be recommended to achieve and maintain long-term results
